Britons not used to the heat this summer have been advised to drink plenty of water so they do not feel the adverse effects of the sun.According to a recent press release by the Department of Health, very young people and older individuals are at a higher risk of heat-related symptoms and everyone should make sure they keep well hydrated.Professor Steve Field of the Royal College of General Practitioners said that making sure the intake of fluids is at the required level is just one of the ways to prepare for hot weather and that it is not uncommon for people to die in such heat. He remarked Air, fans, cool drinks, [they are] the most important things. Cool showers can be helpful [and] avoid heavy exercise. Those in the Mediterranean are more experienced in dealing with the blistering heat and they often sit in the shade and sleep at the hottest part of the day, Mr Field added.ADNFCR-1321-ID-19251975-ADNFCR
