Hidden kitchen storage aids recycling

Responsible recycling can represent a challenge when it comes to keeping your kitchen neat and clean. After all, must you always make a trip outside every time you need to throw out a bottle or some waste paper? The solution can often be to hide rubbish containers within cupboards. Not only will you kitchen look nicer, but it can be safer and healthier too. Manufacturers have come up with multiple containers to hold various types of rubbish and recyclables.Linda Fennessy, marketing manager for Kitchen Magic says Id say 10 out of 10 of our customers choose to move the trash from an open area to inside the cabinet. Most of our customers are asking us to install roll-out trash cans, and usually more than one. She added that the days of one rubbish bin under the sink were disappearing fast. Kitchen Magic usually recommends one or two double rollouts, because most local authorities require householders to separate their recycling into cans, bottles, plastics and paper. If you separate it as you discard, its not as much of a chore on recycling day, she said. And roll-out containers are easier to manage. You can see where youre putting the garbage and dont end up with unhealthy garbage at the back of a cabinet where it can grow bacteria. Some roll-out shelves have room for four containers, so the shelf rolls out as one piece. Others have room for double or triple bins. See the waste organiser options available.
