Water theme boosts well-being

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

Home designers could soon be looking to embellish the watery themes of kitchens and bathrooms as the key to ensuring a sense of wellbeing after a recent experiment in waterside living proved its appeal.Residents polled at a new waterside property development have testified to the health and wellbeing benefits of living near the water, with many who do so subsequently proving unwilling to leave. Many favour an aquatic shade of blue for kitchens or bathrooms where water is already a regular feature and the Countryside Maritime commissioned survey suggests that anything reminding people of the water could be positive. The report into waterside living was carried out at Countryside Maritimes St Marys Island development in Kent, the only planned island community in the UK, with 75 per cent of those polled claiming that living near the water contributed to a less stressful lifestyle. Some 63 per cent also claimed that it improved their overall health and well-being, suggesting that developments like St Marys, surrounded by the beautiful River Medway, could become more numerous in the future. Those settling instead for a bright and aquatic water-themed kitchen could benefit from a Franke kiln-fired ceramic sinks, which, billed as smooth, bright and pure white offer the fresh and bright design that could conjure feel-good sea vibes in the kitchen.ADNFCR-1321-ID-18392347-ADNFCR
