An interior decorator has advised the homeowner of a luxury condominium to have an overhaul of his kitchen after being appalled by the location of the washer and dryer in the room.Speaking to yourhome.ca, Sharyn Kastelic, owner of Primed By Design in Canada, suggested the appliances in the 732-square-foot property could be moved to a more appropriate room.The builder could just as easily put the laundry in the storage room where the smell of bleach will not mingle with cooking aromas, she said.Setting out her design plan for the room - which also features two kitchen sinks - Ms Kastelic argued that by rearranging the appliances, the homeowner would benefit from an extra 30 inches of counter space.Elsewhere, the designer suggested ripping out a breakfast bar, observing that the area was redundant given the lack of room for stools. Meanwhile, a recent article by ARAcontent noted that summer affords homeowners a great opportunity to update and restyle their kitchens as families look to spend more time eating outdoors.
