A government-backed body has called on the nations workplaces to cut their wasted tap water, which it says amounts to 30 billion cups a year.Envirowise has outlined a range of measures aimed at reducing businesses water consumption, including appointing tea monitors to check that taps are not left running and that kettles are not overfilled.A number of tap products currently on the market can help limit the amount of wasted water in the kitchen and could be of benefit to those looking to reduce excess tea-time usage.Pioneering kitchen firm In-Sink-Erator offers a range of taps which provide hot water on demand from the same outlet as the normal cold and/or filtered water flows, such as the GN1100 Hot Water Filter Tap.This means making hot drinks, filling cooking pots and many other tasks where hot water is required can be fulfilled without running the risk of boiling too much water or leaving the tap running unnecessarily.Envirowise was founded in 1994 and offers advice to businesses on how to reduce waste and use their resources more efficiently.
