Home design specialists have highlighted the best buying procedures for those seeking to invest in a new kitchen.Revamping or replacing an entire kitchen can often involve radical and exciting changes to sinks, worktops waster organiser systems and much else, with the Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association (KBBSA) urging caution before diving in.In its Buying a New Kitchen guidelines, the KBBSA said then buying a whole kitchen, customers should request a home visit from retailers before accepting quotes.The group also told buyers to avoid paying a deposit of more than 25 per cent of total contract value, while insisting that customers should not pay in full until recdeiving delivery of the full kitchen.But while the KBBSA preached caution for total kitchen overhauls, recent trends have shown many UK homeowners preferring gradual kitchen revamps that they can themselves orchestrate.Calling on their own creative talents, many are favouring DIY home improvements that attack sinks, floorboards and worktops bit by bit avoiding the all-out gamble of entire kitchen purchase.
