People should focus on the kitchen if they are only going to improve only one room in their homes, it has been argued.Phil Spencer, co-host of Channel 4s Location, Location, Location, noted that the kitchen has become the showpiece area of the home.Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, he said We dont just cook in it, we do homework in it, we watch television in it and hold dinner parties there. The number one priority is creating a handsome and efficient work surface and ensuring easy access between the three points of the kitchen triangle. This triangle relates to the configuration between the kitchen sink, the fridge and the cooker, with Mr Spencer noting that many high street kitchen design firms have become surprisingly good at drawing up efficient designs.Elsewhere, the presenter urged homeowners to invest in up-to-date appliances to ensure they will not look outmoded ten years down the line.Meanwhile, kitchen renovator Bill Tanasse told GL Woman recently that people are increasingly returning to classic, timeless styles for their kitchens in order to get the most value from their homes.
