Appliance maker Smeg has unveiled a new line of high-end ovens and cooktops, created by world-renowned Australian designer Marc Newson.The range, which was showed off at the recent EuroCucina kitchen appliance design show in Milan, is made up of appliances with circular designs and minimalist designs, each of which come in a variety of colours.Apart from the IH cooktops, the appliances can be ordered in stainless steel finish or pale blue, bright orange, yellow, cream and black chromatic enamel finishes, Australian consumer product website Current reports.In an interview with Italian interior design website DomusWeb, Newson said What I identify with in these products, is the fact that there are a lot of things that relate to the past materials and finishes you dont see that often in these kinds of appliances on the market.Recently, the revered designer was commissioned to design the interior of Australian airline Qantas new A380 superjumbos.
