Written The worlds first completely eco-friendly kitchen will be revealed at an international design event in Milan.Sustainable design specialist Valcucine is to present a 100 per cent recyclable kitchen at the upcoming Fuorisalone 2009 in Italy. The design is based on the new glass base cabinets created by Valcucine last year. Made entirely from thin glass panels and aluminium, the units can be dismantled and recycled when no longer needed. As well as the glass units, the kitchen display will include countertops, undermount sinks and cooker hobs in order to showcase how the designs can work in modern homes.Valcucines head designer and managing director Gabriele Centazzo has created the gReenaissance kitchen and had previously championed the use of recycled materials in kitchen design. Mr Centazzo recently created a similar kitchen installation for an exhibition at New Yorks Museum of Modern Art last autumn. Home Delivery looked at the history of modern living and features installations as well as films and pictures of homes and kitchens through the ages.
