New kitchen for shelter

New kitchen accessories have been delivered to a homeless shelter as part of an initiative from LG Electronics.The Shades Tree shelter, received a new kitchen in recognition of its work to help homeless women and children.As well as a new fridge, dishwasher and cooker, the shelters kitchen has been fitted with stainless steel sinks and a high-definition TV set.Marlene Richter, executive director at the Shade Tree, said As the states largest shelter for homeless and abused women and children, The Shade Tree serves many in our community thanks to the generosity of companies like LG Electronics. Helping women in crisis get their lives back on track is a call to action that fits perfectly with President Obamas message of hope through change. With the help of such organisations as NATPE, LG, Freeman, Le Gourmet and The Home Depot, we offer life-changing services that help women achieve self-reliance, earn a living wage and find safe and affordable housing in our community.
