Many kitchen DIY jobs are very easy to carry out, provided they are approached with confidence and a basic knowledge, Homebuilding Renovating magazine has suggested.Jason Orme, editor at the publication, noted that there are a surprising amount of tasks that can be performed by homeowners.The fact of the matter is [] a lot of the tasks that people do around the house are relatively easy, he said.It is incredibly rewarding to do it and you are obviously saving money in the process.The comments follow research from Spaceslide which found that many Brits are now more likely to perform simple DIY jobs than they were five years ago.Tasks such as those involving electrics, plumbing and tiling are still likely to be avoided, but Brits now feel confident to decorate, fit blinds and install wardrobes.Kitchen improvement tasks might include having a new kitchen sink or set of taps installed. However, Mr Orme conceded that it is important to know which home improvement jobs should be left to the professionals.
