Leicestershire Police has urged people to consider buying home security products if they are embarking on DIY work on their sink accessories this bank holiday. Many people use the free time gained on a bank holiday to complete home improvement tasks, though it is extremely important for residents to ensure that their belongings are protected. PC Alan Cook, one of Leicestershire Constabularys crime reduction officers, said When you are purchasing your tools and equipment for your DIY tasks, take a visit down the home security aisle. By spending a few extra pounds you could save yourself a great deal of time and money protecting property that could be expensive to replace in the event of a burglary. It comes after the British Council for Offices claimed that businesses could save money by altering their lighting systems. More sustainable lighting could help them to save over a third of their electricity usage, the group highlighted.
