It is not necessary for people to spend a lot of money on home improvements in the kitchen as simply tidying away sink accessories could add value to your house, one expert has suggested. Managing director of Halifax estate agents Gordon Edwards said that easy measures can often be the best. He remarked Simple measures like decluttering and keeping a room clean and tidy will make your home more attractive to potential buyers.Mr Edwards comments come after the organisation released a survey that found 19 per cent of people would most like to modernise elements of their kitchen rather than any other room in the house. Of those surveyed women were more likely to want to redecorate their kitchen, while men preferred a new bathroom. In related news, residential appraisal expert Beverley Girvan revealed that small renovations to your property may add value and make it a nicer environment in which to live.ADNFCR-1321-ID-19241606-ADNFCR
