Purchasing new kitchen appliances could help homeowners to save money and use less energy, one expert has claimed. Alex Goddard, curator at the Eco Home Exhibition, stated that people looking to buy new items for their property should always consider the environmental impact before committing. Commenting on the types of accessory individuals could invest in, she remarked We are looking at kettles, toasters and irons that use gadgetry and special technology to help them use less power.Energy-efficient models can sometimes use a lot less electricity, Ms Goddard added, with a number of washing machines available that reduce the amount of water consumed. Those looking to purchase kitchen sink accessories were also advised that some devices can limit the flow of taps. Writing for North Shore Magazine, Lisa Skolnik noted that interior design specialists recommend new kitchen taps that cap the amount of water used and commented that they are becoming more common in home improvement projects.
