As any home cook will know, preparing food on a countertop is made all the easier by the proximity of the kitchen bin.Now design-lead Swiss manufacturer Franke have created a product that offers an effortlessly stylish and ingenious solution to the problem that can occur when preparing a meal.The companys flush waste bin offers a low-profile 12-litre bin which can be mounted into a kitchen work surface in the same way a sink or drainer would be fitted.The mounted installation and low-profile lid keep the cylindrical bin well hidden, but gives easy access when preparing vegetables, meat, fruit and so on.The bin can be used with clever polyurethane containers that can be lifted straight out once full and washed separately, making the bin easy to empty and sanitise.Sliding kitchen waste straight into the bin means less waste falling to the floor, making the task of keeping the kitchen clean a lot easier too.
