Homeowners want to individualise their kitchen

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

Homeowners are looking to personalise their kitchen and put their own touch on their cooking area, it has been suggested.Robert Cassidy, brand manager at Britannia Living, said that people want aesthetically pleasing kitchens that also serve their needs. People are getting colour-savvy about the way they want things to look, but also about the functionality behind it as well, he added. This could affect the selection of features like kitchen sinks and taps. Mr Cassidy noted that coloured cookers have recently increased in popularity with red, cream and white models proving fashionable. Referring to the economic recession, the expert said many homeowners had been forced to carefully consider their options before deciding on any purchase. They will see stands and really research the product before making a purchase, whereas three or four years ago when everything was quite buoyant, maybe people made that decision a lot quicker, said Mr Cassidy. His comments follow the release of figures from the Confederation of British Industry which show that DIY sales fell sharply in March.ADNFCR-1321-ID-19689150-ADNFCR
