Homeowners should not avoid kitchen design advice

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

The unique demands of every kitchen design mean that professional advice is always a worthwhile investment, a commentator has said.Bill Lahay of the Universal Press Syndicate wrote that homeowners are often keen to avoid consultation in favour of spending design budgets on materials.Professional expertise costs money and its awfully tempting to direct those funds toward high-end appliances, sleek countertops and other tangible goodies that are easy to see and touch, he said. However, Mr Lahay suggested that the growing number of options for each kitchen feature made advice increasingly important.Mr Lahay quoted Kitchens A Sunset Design Guide by Karen Templer which said that the wide range of kitchen sinks and taps currently available is one common source of decision anxiety for homeowners. While supporting the need for consultation during kitchen renovations, interior designer Wendy Salamon recently told the Canwest News Service that projects can often be hindered by personality clashes and poor communication between clients and designers.ADNFCR-1321-ID-19549687-ADNFCR
