A variety of kitchen designs have been on display at the Notable Kitchen Tour Chef Showcase in the US, with some exhibitors making their sinks a particularly prominent feature.Reporting on the tour of eight unique residential kitchens in Philadelphia, Montgomerynews.com drew attention to a Mediterranean-style kitchen that boasted terracotta flooring and an arched hearth made from antique bricks. The report said that the owners had continued this theme by installing a large, copper-surfaced central island and a custom-made copper sink. The whole kitchen is just a great flow for entertaining, owner Jood Thompson told the news provider. It just works its a well thought out, well laid out kitchen.Other kitchens to catch the eye of the reporter included a culinary teaching studio that featured professional-grade appliances, double farm sinks for multiple tasks, an oversize island and a wine/refreshment station.Last week C G Publishing reported the view of industry professional Allen Bodiya who suggested that diversity in kitchen styles could occur as flash new trends appear on the market.
