Liberal Democrat candidate for the London mayoral elections, Brian Paddick, has declared ambitious kitchen revamp hopes for his Vauxhall flat. The ex-policeman explained the ins and outs of his Albert Embankment apartment to the Independent, claiming that he would like to expand his fitted kitchen.Fitted kitchens can often help to organise the cooking area, storing away items and appliances behind coordinated cabinet doors, while Mr Paddick is looking to expand the room and experiment with his own kitchen design. He explained that the fitted kitchen formed part of the flats open-plan living area, with its marble floor giving way to wood flooring as the kitchen opens out onto a dining room and lounge area. The mayoral candidate claimed he would like to expand the kitchen separately, while installing a long sofa against one far wall of the long living area and practical wall units against the other. While major revamps can be costly, small kitchens such as Mr Paddicks can often be made more workable through the introduction of compact kitchen sinks such as the Franke Compact CPX610 single bowl model, maximising the countertop space around them.
