Wet and used dishcloths can harbour similar amounts of bacteria. To avoid spreading germs across your counters, disinfect your sponges and cloths with bleach and water solution after every use.Ms Harnett advised using both reusable cloths and paper towels as far better options than sponges when it comes to hygiene.
