In order to create a harmonious kitchen design, it is important to set about finding an authentic spirit in which to go about making changes.That is the opinion of UK kitchen designer Johnny Grey, who has observed that the current economic climate is the time for poeple to be pragmatic about kitchen design but still make a big difference to the feel of the home.In an interview with the Washington Post Service, he stated Its about assembling an authentic spirit of home around you. The core idea of using [your own] free-standing furniture and enjoying cooking are in line with the new zeitgeist.He also noted that there is no need to concentrate on the work triangle when going about kitchen design, as this can be too simplistic.The trinity of sink, refrigerator and stove do not necessarily apply when curves are introduced in the design, or when work areas and storage areas are carefully situated and planned around the room, he said.Mr Grey has also suggested designating kitchen sinks for specific uses.
