Is planning now a big issue for homebuilders

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

Planning is now becoming a bigger issue for housebuilders in the UK who are looking to install their own sink accessories, a recent study has indicated.A total of 60 per cent of builders have said that localism legislation will reduce the speed of gaining consent, while 39 per cent have suggesting enforcing subsidised mortgages for first-time buyers, according to research from Knight Frank.David Fenton, head of regional land at Knight Frank, said In less affluent areas, developers are procuring short to medium-term land using creative purchasing models, such as Phased Payments and Land Payments linked to unit sales, thus protecting their return on capital.Financial conditions in the market will hopefully improve by 2013, Mr Fenton added.Knight Frank research follows a statement from Build It representative Anna-Marie DeSouza, who advised that people should try to maintain a neutral design for their homes if they are looking to sell them.
