Residents in Knockroon will soon be able to benefit from sustainable sink accessories after Hope Homes revealed new eco-friendly houses for the area.The properties are being constructed on land on the Dumfries House Estate and will feature many energy efficient installations, including woodburning stoves, low energy lighting and taps with low water consumption, according to the Ayrshire Post.Anne Hope, director of Hope Homes Scotland, told the newspaper There will be a certain kudos that goes with being the first person to reserve at Knockroon and I think it wont be long until we get that first reservation.Zero C was chosen to assist in building and marketing the homes, due to its proven track record of building sustainable properties.Recently, the UK Green Building Council stated that the new Green Deal will help people in the housing sector to be more informed of government policies in regard to building homes.
