Brass sink pillar taps are popular with white ceramic sinks. They don't suit stainless steel sinks, or copper - and you might get away with pairing them with granite - but butler, belfast and other solid white ceramic sinks with brass belong together like milk and cookies - look we've even show off the coupling in this video!

One of our most popular items are our traditional bronze basin taps - these are normally bought alongside our belfast and butler sinks. The whiteness of the sinks together with the dark brown metal of the taps looks amazing. Traditional, but modern - however, the look is hampered by a build up of dirty plates, bowls and cups, so make sure you keep on top of the washing up to make the best of your sink!

Taps are important to finishing the look of a sink. Choosing the wrong taps can completely ruin the whole look of what you were going for.

With something like a Belfast sink, traditional taps are the best way to go. With the rustic charm and robustness of the sink, something like the Alsace Mixer Taps below match perfectly.

Of course, some modern taps suit, but it's always best to err on the side of caution.

Want a kitchen that will never look aged and naff ten years down the line? Your best bet for creating a kitchen that doesn't need replacing before you know it is to do two things:

Invest in decent appliances and fixtures

Go for a traditional design

And here's where our traditional taps come in - pieces of art that are crafted individually bit without the hefty price tags of a lot of designs.

Traditional doesn't need to be chintzy - our traditional taps hark back to a bygone era of class, expert design and elegance. Like the ones I've picked out below:

Need a kitchen mixer tap?! If so then look no further! We have a wide range of kitchen taps including bar taps, monobloc taps and designer taps.
