Sinks Sinks Blog

The weekend's rolled around again, and so we think it's always a good idea to get you in to that Friday feeling and have a little giggle at this sink-related clip, starring one of our favourite comedians - Mr Bill Bailey...

Our kitchen sinks are going to be featured this Sunday on Channel 4 property programme, 'Restoration Man'.

Yes, that's right ladies and gents, our kitchen sinks will be transmitted in to the front rooms of homes across the UK via the medium of the telly box!

We promise that we won't let the fame and stardom that will inevitably follow go to our heads - we promise!

(George Clarke -THE Restoration Man... Another reason to tune in on Sunday, ladies!)

In these days of swine flu, bird flu and man flu - handwashing is high on everyone's priorities. That's why if you want to get ahead, you're best washing your hands in style. Get some Perrin and Rowe taps fitted, and you'll be soon washing your hands more than usual!

One of our most popular sinks are butler sinks. Why? Well, they look good. They're spacious. And they last forever. What more do you need in a sink?

A sink that would do its own washing up would be pretty cool, thinking about it... Mmm, I could be on to something there...

We are getting ready for the weekend, sorting out tomorrow's football match/barbecue arrangements and looking forward to a lie in for two days (our favourite bit!), so we're unwinding a little bit by looking for funny undermounted sinks-related videos (don't tell our boss!) - this one made us laugh so much, my colleague had tea coming our of her nose. Nice!!!

Oh and we feel we have to say it: DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!

What can we say about the good old ceramic kitchen sink?

It's our most popular sink, it's a great sink to have in the kitchen, it's easy to clean, easy to maintain and in my humble opinion, has timeless good looks.

It's an oldie, but a goodie and in so many different designs, impossible to get bored of!

Kitchen Sink Strainer Waste

Posted by: louise in Untagged  on

A new colleague new to the team asked me what a kitchen sink strainer waste was, so I thought it would be a good idea for any slightly odd terms like this cropped up, to explain them in this blog - like a little glossary!

A kitchen sink strainer waste is an alternative to a plug and chain. They are metal contraptions that you stick in to the plug hole to form a seal, or you can lift up slightly to catch all the solid waste as the water drains down. These are great when you want to prevent the headache that a blocked drain can bring. And they look quite cool as well!

Remember that old cat food tagline, 'Cats would buy Wiskas'? Well I'm applying that to Perrin & Rowe taps - if a sink could team up with taps of their choice, it's be our old friend Perrin & Rowe.

The designs ranged from the modern to the traditional, but they nail it each time. Every piece is like having a bit of art in your kitchen or bathroom, and come in a range of prices.

We love sinks, but they also remind us of washing up, which we're not too fond of. However, with our ceramic sink with drainers, washing up is as easy as it can be - large roomy sink, powerful taps, and drainers to stick your nice clean pots on. Have I made washing up sound tempting?!

Sometimes when we get a bit hot, we like to cool down by sticking our feet in Belfast Butler Sinks...OK, maybe not, but this hippo certainly does!
